Because we're studying poetry in English class I decided to put together fragments that float in the back of my mind. (That's not to say I'm not also still thinking about Bishop! BTW, I have good news: I might be able to run away to Hueco Tanks next weekend if I can bulldoze through the stack of homework sitting on the table here.)
Soul Searching
I want
to hang you
on my wall
for the other walls to look at.
To shoot you
A kiss
That will knock you
To the ground.
Downcast,
Brown eyes attend to a simple life.
A sigh escapes from behind my mask.
Click.
I approach,
And lay the promising cross.
Snap!
I capture your soul-
But your heart still leaps away.
